NGL One: mouz out, fnatic to the final

First day of NGL One Season 4 finals in Berlin has ended. Fnatic one step closer to defend their title, while mousesports can pack their bags and go home, as roccat eliminated them.

The upperbracket between fnatic and Alternate, must have been one of the most exciting matches I have watched in a long time. The match changed sides so many times and the match could in the end have gone both ways. fnatic did look weak at some equations, but managed to rise again and find the momentum they needed for this win. fnatic did however start out as the previous match looking weak and in the end losing the map to Alternate, as they took home nuke with impressing T play 16:8.

Alternate looked strong after their 2-0 victory versus mousesports, something fnatic on second map decided to literally “fuck up”. Alternate came really close to once again take two maps in a row. fnatic did manage to stop the German bulldozer and winning an extremely close train with 16:14.

Deciding map to find out, who of these two teams would take a step close to 20.000$ was inferno. Alternate did want to give anything away and really put up a fight for it. Once again the match got really close and changed side many times during the match. fnatic could pull out victorious with a 16:12 victory and secure their spot in the final.

In lowerbracket, roccat and mousesports had to fight for who got to go home early and who would have another shot at making it to the finals.

Once again the match went to third map. mousesports could get the best self-confidence and momentum as they won an incredible close first map, going to the very last round. mousesports took home train 16:14.

The two squads was really loud during the entire match, but during second map, the volume got raised another few dB. roccat regained some strength and pushed aggressive on inferno, without mousesports having much to fight back with The Finnish boys could secure inferno nice and “easy” 16:5.

Last and final map should be dust2. First time both teams played the map during the finals, no advantage for any of them. roccat did seem to have some stardust hidden in their pockets and seemed to have to a lot more momentum and luck than mousesports. Bursting into high screams, the roccat boys won map and the spot in the consolidation final versus Alternate.
